A new season.
A new season has started. Little by little, there comes colour on the fields with flower bulbs. During about 20 weeks the flower bulbs stabbing their noses above the ground. For us the time to irrigate (in dry periods through fixed and mobile irrigation) and to follow the growth but definitely a time to enjoy! Every year a wonderful season!

In April the greenhouse colours pink by the beautiful flowers of various varieties of Pleione. We also closely follow the growth of the planted tissue culture, seeds, parted and incised bulbs. Besides multiplication by tuber and bulbs, these are other methods of multiplication that we use at our nursery.

The last flower bulbs that should be planted in spring has been planted.

Tip for this time of year: Naturalizing bulbs draw their strength for the second flowering and multiplication of the dying foliage. Please do not cut off after flowering.

22 March - 20 May 2012:
Keukenhof: Theme 2012: "Poland, the romance of Chopin"

This year we provided, entirely disinterested, 40.000 bulbs of Muscari Peppermint® to Keukenhof.

We received 4 awards at the Indoor Flower Show of Miscellaneous Bulbs (19 - 24 April 2012):
* 1st award 'Collection of Miscellaneous Bulbs' with 9,40 p.;
* 1st award 'Potted Miscellaneous Bulbs' with Pleione Tongariro with 9,53 p.;
* 2nd award 'Muscari' with Muscari Peppermint with 9,50 p.; * 3th award 'Potted Miscellaneous Bulbs' with Iris Katharine Hodgkin 9,45 p..

5 April - 7 October 2012:
Floriade 2012: The Floriade Park covers 66 hectares and encompasses 5 unique themed worlds (Relax & Heal, Green Engine, Education & Innovation, Environment and World Show Stage) separated by wooded areas. Each world has its own decor, programme and activities. Worlds in which you'll see, feel and experience nature in a totally different way each time.

We are exhibitor at Floriade 2012 and have, entirely disinterested, provided following flower bulbs:
- 15.600 bulbs Anemone blanda Blue Shades;
- 1.200 bulbs Tulp wilsoniana;
- 4.000 bulbs Muscari Peppermint.

- 250 bulbs Pleione formosana (blooming); during the indoor show of 23 April - 6 May you can enjoy these flowering Pleiones.

6 April - 6 May 2012:
Spring in Groot-Bijgaarden: 9th International Flower Exhibition at the Castle of Groot-Bijgaarden in Belgium.
Serveral miscellaneous bulbs from our nursery are planted to admire.

2013:
Lentetuin Breezand: Theme 2012:

We received 3 awards at the Lentetuin 2012 for our miscellaneous bulbs:
* Category 56 up to 70 varieties inclusive: 1st award with credit from the jury: 9,5 points
* Primeur Lentetuin 2012: with Iris no. 98-NP-4
* Best collection Miscellaneous Bulbs
